If you’ve enjoyed our study of Daniel and would like to dive a bit deeper into the book, here are a few recommended resources…
Daniel: The Key To Prophetic Revelation – John F. Walvoord
A very thorough commentary with lot’s of cultural and historical information, as well as great practical applications. Also, Dr. Walvoord directly addresses many of the topics of debate used by critics that question the divine inspiration of Daniel.
The Book Of Daniel: The Coming Judgments of The Nations -Paul Benware
Although similar to Walvoord’s commentary, it is a bit easier to read. The end of each chapter also offers thought provoking life application questions.
Soniclight Online Commentary -Dr. Thomas Constable
Dr. Constable does an excellent job of explaining passages in a verse-by-verse fashion that’s very easy to follow.
Be Resolute: Determining To Go God’s Direction -Warren Wiersbe
A good book, written as a commentary, but also very readable and practical.
The Handwriting On The Wall -David Jeremiah
Of all the resources listed above, this book is by far the easiest to read. I enjoyed it very much, but would not recommend it to those looking for lots of historical or cultural detail.
